☀️Rest And Renewal

Still, peaceful, at rest. This little guy decided the warm, pink, fuchsia-speckled petals of this lily were the perfect place. The tired, tiny body rested with its little wings folded on its back, amid the heady, sweet perfume of this flower.

This little one found rest in the arid, sweltering heat that makes it hard to breathe but is the "norm" this time of year. My husband and I feed the birds, deer, and raccoons and provide fresh water. But this tiny powerhouse found rest in the harsh summer heat and nourishment without any help. An hour later, the little bee at rest was gone.

We all need a place of rest, especially in the harsh, dry places of life. To be led to REST-oration from weariness renews our desire to do and complete the necessary tasks of a new day, and our ability to be an effective powerhouse for His purpose.

What a sweet reminder this little bee was today to slow down and bask in much-needed rest. Let's appreciate the beautiful, set-apart places our Father has given us for our renewal, so like the 🐝 bee, we can soar another day fulfilling HIS purpose, just as we were designed to do.
